The Pitchfork Music Festival is about more than just music. In addition to a stellar lineup showcasing over 40 of independent music’s best bands and artists on three stages, the festival will also feature a series of unique onsite attractions.
The Chicago Independent Radio Project, working to bring a new community radio station to Chicago, presents the Pitchfork Music Fest version of its much-loved record fair under the big tent near the third stage. The fair will feature table after table of your favorite indie labels, cool vinyl dealers, and more. The selection will range from the latest releases to rare gems on vinyl from a wide array of genres and eras. Take a break from the sun and sounds and check it out!
All things handcrafted. No brand-names. No foreign-assembly. No questionable ethics. In DEPART-ment’s onsite store, everything you see has been made by people just like you. Here, countless vendors will offer a massive selection of handmade clothing, jewelry, tote bags, purses, wallets, and a number of other things that are fantastically beautiful but difficult to describe.
We’re also very proud to announce that the Pitchfork Music Festival will host the Flatstock 17 Poster Convention. Poster artists from Chicago and around the world will pitch their tents in Union Park to display and sell their art during the festival. Flatstock is sponsored by the American Poster Institute, an organization dedicated to the promotion of music poster art and design worldwide.
